Where the conference takes place

In the Latin Quarter, directly opposite the Jardin du Luxembourg. The main entrance is on Boulevard Saint-Michel; the doctoral workshop, the formal opening and the welcome reception all happen here.

Université Paris Dauphine – PSL
Place du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny, 75016 Paris
On the western edge of the city, beside the Bois de Boulogne. Enter through the main hall on Place du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny; both full conference days are held here.
Getting there
Metro 2 to Porte Dauphine (2 min walk) · RER C to Avenue Foch (8 min) · tram T3b to Porte Dauphine · bus PC.
You only need to make the journey once: everything on 8 and 9 June is at Mines Paris, everything on 10 and 11 June at Dauphine. Allow about 35 minutes: RER B from Luxembourg to Châtelet–Les Halles, RER A west to Charles de Gaulle–Étoile, then Metro 2 to Porte Dauphine. The conference does not run shuttles.
Getting to Paris
By air. Charles de Gaulle (CDG) is 45–60 minutes from the center by RER B, which stops at Luxembourg, one minute from Mines Paris where the conference begins. Orly (ORY) is on Metro 14, which reaches Châtelet–Les Halles in 25 minutes, where the RER B continues to Luxembourg.
By rail. Paris is reachable by direct high-speed train from London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Milan and most French cities. Gare du Nord, Gare de l’Est and Gare de Lyon are all on the Metro network. We encourage rail travel where it is a realistic option.
Getting around
Paris has a dense Metro, RER, bus and tram network operated by RATP and Île-de-France Mobilités. A contactless bank card or a Navigo Easy card works on all of it; one ticket covers any metro, RER or train journey in the region, except to and from the airports.
If you are staying for the week, a Navigo weekly pass (Monday to Sunday) is usually the cheapest option. Vélib’ bicycles are available across the city, and the center is genuinely walkable.

Participants book their own accommodation. The conference days on 10–11 June are at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL; the doctoral workshop, the opening and the welcome reception on 8–9 June are at Mines Paris – PSL.

For the doctoral workshop, the opening and the welcome reception on 8–9 June, these hotels are a few minutes’ walk away: Hôtel des Mines (125 Boulevard Saint-Michel), Hôtel Baume (7 rue Casimir Delavigne) and Hôtel Bonsoir Madame (65 rue Madame).
Distances are approximate, in a straight line from each venue’s main entrance, so the walk is a little longer. Check prices and availability with the hotels directly.
