Since its first edition in Brussels in 1992, IPDMC has brought together generations of scholars working in product development, innovation and related fields. Over 33 editions, the conference has travelled across Europe, creating a distinctive international community grounded in rigorous research, constructive dialogue and lasting academic relationships.

Good to know
From Brussels to Stockholm, each host institution and local organizing team has contributed to the identity and continuity of the conference.
The conference was not held every year at first, which is why 33 editions between 1992 and 2026 make Paris 2027 the 34th.
Even when exceptional circumstances required the community to meet online, in 2020, 2021 and 2026, IPDMC continued to provide a space for scholars to share research, support emerging researchers and shape the development of the field.
